Part 2:
Part 2:
Three years ago today, I saw Switchfoot in concert for the very first time. In St. Louis, under the Arch. Three years ago. That is absolutely crazy. I still love them as much as I did then. No, actually, I love them more today. <3
I didn't finish a single book in the month of June. Sloth much? But today I (finally) purchased New Moon, so I've got that to read. Along with The Irresistible Revolution by Shane Clairborne, which I borrowed so I should probably work on finishing that too.
I have a new journal layout, and I luffles it. I'm thinking about making my LJ my 'official' journaling/blogging spot... so I might go through later and friends-lock some certain things that I don't want certain people to see, if I do link it publicly (like from my facebook). Hmm. It's safe to say that I'll be going partially friends-only once again. I also need to go through and organize my tags, they're a mess!
I can't remember if I've said this in here or not (I've posted & deleted a couple of entries during the last week for different reasons... apologies) BUT. I got a new roommate, and she's seems pretty cool. I also got changed to a different room, but thankfully I'm still in Burritt Annex. I have way more in common with this new girl (her name is Johanna), which is awesome. We love a lot of the same music, and that's win right there.
I've been finding out some really cool stuff about New Student Orientation. Like, that canoeing/boating trip? It's not just a rumor. We'll be loading up and going to Missouri to spend the night there and... well, in my case, trying not to drown I guess. I can't wait 'til school starts and I have things of actual interest to post. :]
I've decided I'm definitely going to get a Zune instead of an iPod. I really want the 30GB one, but I think I'm going to have to order it online if that's the one I get. I checked at Wal-Mart and the ones they had in store jumped from 8GB to 80GB. It figures.
I think I'm on the verge of pretty much abandoning myspace at this point. I kind of hate it, now that I've started using facebook. Facebook > myspace. Add me if you haven't. All of my new pictures will probably go there (along with to my Flickr).
I've been trying to wrap my head around all of theconcerts events I've got coming up, because there's a lot of them.
8/17 - Disciple concert in Indianapolis. If I can get the courage to make myself drive there, and if we actually get tickets.
8/22 - Move in and New Student Orientation at Greenville (aka, my new life begins <3).
8/29 - P.O.D concert in Du Quoin. It's a maybe, depending on when they're actually supposed to play, because it's a Friday and I have classes during the day.
9/13 - Battleground, in Marion. Kutless!
10/11 - Switchfoot concert in Kansas City, MO. That is, if I can find someone else who wants to go (Carla?), and we get tickets, and everything plays out correctly.
10/26 - Creation Fest: The Tour in Bloomington. This is a definite, mmkay? Too many bands to list all of them, but there's Kutless, Thousand Foot Krutch, Fireflight, Esterlyn, KJ-52, and Pillar. That's like, my entire playlist right there. Also, it's my birthday.
I'm pretty sure there's something else I'm forgetting!

shufflebunny gave me the letter L.
( Which I must admit, ended up giving me a sweet choice of songs. )

After communing with the spirits of ’60s rock, Panic At The Disco’s sophomore effort, Pretty. Odd [Decaydance/Fueled by Ramen], is more reminiscent of the Beatles and the Beach Boys than Fall Out Boy or the myriad other modern rock radio darlings the band is regularly lumped together with. It’s an ambitious album that fully transcends the trendy pop-punk sound of the Las Vegas quartet’s smash-hit debut, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out.

update on ticket\venue situation
There are a couple of changes in Adelaide & Perth venues for the upcoming Panic At The Disco tour. Adelaide’s concert will move from Adelaide Entertainment Centre to Thebarton Theatre and is now sold out. Perth’s concert will move from Burswood Dome to Challenge Stadium. The Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne venues remain unchanged. Ticket holders do not need to exchange their existing tickets. Just turn up on the night at the new venue to gain admittance. Read More for full info.
All GA standing tickets to both shows will be honoured as GA standing tickets. Due to the configuration of the new venues, all patrons who currently hold a reserved seating ticket must be aware that seating at both the Thebarton Theatre and Challenge Stadium is unreserved. It is recommended that you arrive early. A free shuttle bus will be available from Subiaco Train Station to Challenge Stadium prior to the show and will return at the conclusion of the concert. Please refer to Challenge Stadium’s website for the shuttle timetable –
www.challengestadium.wa.gov.au While the Adelaide concert is now sold out, fans can still purchase tickets to the new venue in Perth and the original venues in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Problem you are having: I like the way my layout is in s1, but I'd like to transfer it to s2--sadly I don't really know anything about s2 overrides/customizing. Specifically, I'm having a lot of trouble getting my image map to work. I've tried some suggestions I've found using the theme layer (function Page:: etc), but with no luck.
If anyone would be willing to help me, I want to replicate the layout I have now as closely as possible in s2--the farthest I've gotten is figuring out how to get the background and placement of my entries. I'm confused as to how to get my sidebar, colors and image map to work.
( etc )
Thanks to anyone who has any helpful advice.

GOD BLESS THE EDIT BUTTON! I TEND TO OVERREACT WHEN MY FRIENDS ARE INVOLVED. I WASN’T THERE AND ALL I HAVE TO GO ON IS THE ACCOUNT OF ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS AND ALL I EVER WANT TO DO IS SUPPORT THEM. THERE IS NO FURTHER NEED FOR ME TO BLOW THIS OUT OF PROPORTION. I HATE HEARING PEOPLE CALLED THAT WORD. IT MAKES ME CRINGE. THATS ALL. KIND OF LIKE AT THE END OF THE CHAPELLE SHOW WHEN PEOPLE WERE LAUGHING AT THE RACIST JOKES RATHER THAN AT THE SATIRE OF THEM.
you know what? you call my friend a “n_gger”, i dont even give a fuck what happens to you. i dont want to see you in this scene. i dont want to see you at shows. you are who we write songs about. you are who we think about when we hate. radiohead, karma police over and over again in my head.
what a joke.
you are fucking pathetic and anyone that disagrees should put their white hood on too. i dont want your ticket money. i dont want your cd sales. id rather be poor and unknown.
i am angrier than i have been in a long time. hate upon hate upon hate.
thank god for my friends.

When searching on the London Astoria website for more details on the Astoria concert next week, I saw they had updated the information to say that a band called the Golden Silvers are playing as the support band for Panic
Their myspace is www.myspace.com/thegoldensilvers
I don't think this has been posted yet on here, but I thought that I should just help and update the people who are attending the concert, about who the support band are :)
EDIT: And the second support group for the Astoria concert, is Cosmo Jarvis
His myspace is www.myspace.com/cosmojarvis
